Chef Tom Basore of Blue Stem Communities and the Water’s Edge Restaurant in Hesston, Kansas, gives a cooking demonstration at the center on the second Monday in January, March, May, July, and September. Tom focuses on the nutritional needs and optimal serving sizes for seniors.
Lisa Radi, our Administrative Director, hosts Simply Good on the second Monday in February, April, June, August, and October. Simply Good offers cooking demonstrations, discussions on health and nutrition, and lots of sampling.
Due to our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, there is no cooking demonstration in November.
