The mission of the Delos V. Smith Senior Center
is to enhance the quality of life of older citizens through the support of
education, cultural programs and the arts in Hutchinson and Reno County.




CLOSINGS: Please check our website and listen to KWBW (1450 AM/ 98/5 FM)  or KHUT (102.9 FM) for any unscheduled closings due to weather. The center does close when school district 308 closes for weather. 

Crafts with Criss will not meet on Thursday, January 6th.

   Upcoming Events

It's time for our quarterly Birthday Celebration! Come in at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, January 4th, to hear "Not Doug's Combo" perform. Afterwards we will have refreshments to celebrate November, December and January birthdays. What a great way to start the new year!

And to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the center is hosting a Lunch-N-Learn with Darrell Pope and Hence Parsons of the NAACP as our featured speakers. Join us Tuesday the 25th for ham & beans, cornbread and pie. We will start serving lunch at 11:15 AM, with the presentation beginning at 11:30 AM. This event is free for seniors, but you must sign up by
the 22nd to attend.

 Vintage Story Time is on Friday the 28th at 11:30 AM. Bring a sack lunch to eat while our Vintage Readers' Theatre entertains you, or sign up by the 26th for the $5.00 meal deal.
